Brandon "Tapasia"
Tyler Owens
In addition to
his contributions to the Mood Groove, Brandon "Tapasia" Tyler
Owens is currently the lead singer for the hard rock band
Mandel Brotset and a founding member of Pirate Radio
Entertainment. No doubt there are those who would consider
him a bit strange, B.T. expresses the type of eccentricities
that always seem to accompany a musical genius. As well as a
great vocalist and an extremely creative writer B.T. is also
adept at guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, harmonica and anything
else he can get his hands on. Ok, so he's also a bit of an
exaggerator and a shameless self promoter...but then even
Deities can claim those fallacies so at least he's in good
company.
Dick Cox A failed porn star, Dick once had the Guiness World Record for
most potatoes and Top Ramen consumed in a year, 2002. Now a
World Class Producer/ Engineer/ Musician and soda pop can
pop-top tester, Dick brings a madness of method to the Mood
Groove previously unheard of before – or not.
Dicks illegitimate Siamese Conjoined Incestuous Twin Brother,
JK Northrup, has also garnered notoriety in the music
industry. Dick now lives both in and out of Bellevue Mental
Hospitals worldwide.

Fervor
(a.k.a., Zoid, Z-Bob, Ferv - together he unites!)
Born as a small child in Vallejo, CA, I lived in Fairfield
shortly thereafter. I moved to Sacramento in 1987 where I
lived until recently. I enjoy lengthy periods of time off,
playing the drums, and lengthy periods of time off. Holiday’s
are cool, too! The following is a short list of some of my
favorite drummers: Jerry Gaskill, Dave Grohl, Carter Beuford,
John Bonham, Josh Freese. Alcohol is a wonderful drink, but if
I had my “Zoidulant Druthers”, I believe I’d have to go with a
Long Island Ice Tea, although I hear you can drink one
anywhere… For me, Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” would
have to be my favorite album of all time… What else can I say?
The album speaks for itself!
Edgar Z Balldinger
Ever since I was
a wee little lad playing a tennis racket like a guitar to
Mom’s Kingston Trio albums, I’ve wanted to be the hippie I’ve
never been. I remember how my cousin Bob influenced me greatly
as a 5 year old when he’d bring his guitar and harmonica and
his long ponytail and lamb-chop sideburns from the East coast
during the summers of ’69-’72, and spend them at our “Cavity’s
kitchen” home, playing “Puff the Magic Dragon” for me over and
over again. Now, 35+ years later, I’m still doin’ this thing
called music, or perhaps, it’s been doin’ me all along.
There’s so much more history that no one would choose to read,
need to know, or want to be bothered with, so we’ll just leave
it where it lies and move ahead instead. If you really want to
know, please call the Mood Groove Hotline (as yet to be
created).
